I do love the New Year, a fresh start new beginning and especially setting goals.
This year I’ll be using the Leanne Baker Daily Planner and setting goals each month under the following categories: Self Care, Family Relationships, Health, Finance, Fun and Home
If goals and resolutions aren’t your style, have you ever considered having a word or statement to guide you through the year?
Over the last few years, I’ve used this approach to help me throughout the year. I like to revisit my goals each month and adjust them as the year progresses.
Last year my word was “less” although it sounds like a negative word its impact on mine and my little family’s lives has been nothing but positive, you can read more about it in my post Welcoming 2017. Even though I’m moving onto a new word for 2018, I’ll continue to practice and focus on “Less”.
So what is my word for 2018?
This year my word is “Home”.
-more time relaxing at home
– time enjoying our home
– a little work improving our home
– entertaining at home
– simplifying our home
-making memories at home
I’m really excited to see what 2018 will bring and focus our attention to home.
Do you make resolutions? Have you settled on a word for 2018?
Let me know what your word will be for 2018
Happy New Year
Bernadette
Bernadette, I love your word for 2018! It’s so cosy and comforting, and a great prioritizing word.
Mine is FUN and so far it’s working well for me. I did my quarterly recap this week here if you want to have a read
