For those of you wondering what this is all about this post will hopefully give you a little background about why it started and maybe motivate you to join me.
Throw it Thursday is a simple concept – once a week I aim to organise or declutter a space in our home. No matter how big or small as long as I declutter and organise one space I consider it a success. Some weeks it’s one drawer, others it’s a cupboard and some weeks it’s a whole room. I make it work around my schedule and what will work each week.
Throw it Thursday isn’t about getting your whole house in order in a few weeks, it’s more about creating a habit of regular decluttering and cleaning out to help you maintain and reach new levels of organisation.
“less stuff means less to organise” That seems obvious right? Have a think now about a space in your home that constantly gets out of control? How much “stuff” is in that space? Would decluttering that area make it easier to manage?
We’ve all heard the saying Less is More and I started to realise that the less stuff we had to “organise” the more time I had for life and the things I wanted to be doing.
